Adult Social Bookmarketing Sites

The adult industry has a reputation for being technology leaders -- think VHS and the internet -- yet in the social bookmarking arena, aka "web 2.0", they are behind the curve.

Well, they were behind -- but not longer as porn social bookmarking sites have sprung up all over.  Of course many are dead in the water and suffer from the classic chicken-and-egg problem, but a few are taking off.

Here are a few that I've come across and some of the stats that you might consider when you think if it is worth your while submitting to them.

Note that a lot of them seem basically to be looking for galleries or videos so your site may not fit in.

Last updated 16 May 2007.  I previously indicated mosexindex had a much better vote score, but that was a misreading of votes vs points.

High PageRank is good because everybody loves Google right?  :)

Low Href count is good because it means the front page is not to busy and so if your link is there you're more likely to get clicks, and value from search engines for the link.

High MarketLeap score is good because it means that in total the search engines are seeing lots of incoming links.

Low Alexa rank is good because it means people are visit the site, well, at least people with Alexa toolbar (e.g. webmasters!).  It has got to be less than 100,000 to be even vaguely meaningful.

High average votes is good because it means people, hopefully surfers, are actually interacting with the site.  Of course it could also mean that the anti-cheat mechanisms are weak and webmasters are voting for their own stuff.

Some non-adult sites also appear to accept some adult content, but it's easy to get banned so proceed with caution:
